Safety

Photograph them at two weeks old
Two week old newborns are the easiest to work with, and they look delicate, which gives a glow to the quality of the photographs. Newborns of this age is easier to work with because they spend most of their time sleeping, which means you won’t have to expect them to slip out of their positions by moving their little hands and legs around.
Baby-friendly environment
It is commonly known that babies get fed, sleep, and have a dirty diaper most of the time during this mark of age, therefore when photographing newborns, the environment has to be paid attention to, which isn’t the case in family photos Perth. So being mindful of tricks such as keeping the place slightly warm would make the baby comfortable even if he/she is photographed naked to capture those rolls and soft skin. Be patient
Dealing with a two week old and his/her parents would need a deal of patience, as they have to perform their duties of feeding, changing diapers and rocking them to sleep, before these photographs need to be shot. These photo shoots would also take longer than something like a pregnancy shoot.
Natural light
Using natural light to snap pictures of the baby, gives the effect of looking real and enhances the chubbiness and pudginess of the baby with the effective use of shadows. Instead of using artificial light sources that may sometimes, reflect on the baby unnaturally.
Include the family
The photographer should make sure to include phots of the baby with his/her family, individually and as a group, as these pictures would add a lot of value later on.
